Schoolmasters group by the dozens along the large coral buttress hunkered down near the edge of the wall while horse eyed jacks school above and around you with little fear for divers. Off in the blue, watch for eagle rays making their deceptively slow looking way past on their way around the island.

Off from the Conch Point Villas where it derived its name this site is characteristic of the north wall and passing over the reef provides a beautiful view. The drop past here down the wall is sheer which creates overhangs and shallow caves to explore as you descend. Bring your spear gun as lionfish are often sited.

Smith's Cove

  • - Scuba Diving
  • - Shore Diving
  • - George Town
Depth Coordinates

A local hot spot, Smith Cove is a great beach location for snorkeling, barbecueing, or just hanging out in the sun. Walk right into the water from the beach and head left or right for shallow mounds of coral. Most of the year this west side area is protected from the weather making it calm and swimmable nearly every day.

Dede's Garden

Category Location
  • - Scuba Diving
  • - Shore Diving
  • - South Sound
Depth Coordinates

Virtually this whole dive can be spent within an extensive series of swim throughs. Shafts of light poke through the somewhat eerie caverns, lightening the areas mood. If you still have air left after exploring these hollows, check the top of the reef structure for swaying fans and darting fish life.
